Advertising Tips

One very important concept to live by in the advertising world is test small, and when an ad tests well, then and only then should you raise the bar and throw large amounts of money at the ad. Try to examine your own behavior when you find yourself responding to an ad. Ask yourself "what was it that got me to click on that?" Then try to duplicate what you've learned when writing your new ad. If you responded in a certain way, it is likly that others will too for similar reasons. You should refrain from long winded raving about the details of your product, rather, try to "tease" the reader into taking the next step out of curiousity. You cannot make them curious by telling them all the facts right in the ad. So where should you advertise online? That depends on what you are advertising. If you are advertising free offers you might try free traffic exchanges. But higher priced items do not do as well in TE's and you may need pay per click advertising or other search engine based advertising. Google pay per click can get expensive but there are cheaper pay per click companies out there. Paid solo email ads work very well too. You might be tempted to buy traffic from a site that promises to send you 10,000 hits for $20 ect...don't do it. You will not get anything but hits to your site and $20 poorer. If you're persistant, and try not to spend too much money you can be very successfull in the long run.
